Exploration Program Underway
| ||Stealth Minerals is pleased to announce that equipment and personnel have been mobilized to its Toodoggone Project in north central British Columbia. The Company has built a new 28-person camp at a location that provides road access to the five properties scheduled for drilling in July and August. |
A large scale prospecting program is also underway that is currently focused on the south west quadrant of the Toodoggone Project an area of about 56 square kilometres. Based on gold values in trenches and geophysical interpretation, the area is believed to be highly prospective for open pit skarn deposits. In addition, the area is host to large advanced argillic alteration zones, which are believed to have potential for bulk tonnage epithermal gold-silver deposits. Last years prospecting also revealed encouraging Kemess style porphyry copper and gold values in trenches.
The Company is using a PIMA device in the field, which enables identification of important clay minerals related to epithermal gold deposits. This technology is expected to greatly accelerate the location of drill targets in these large systems. To date, the Company has identified eight deposit-scale epithermal systems each with encouraging alteration and geochemistry, seven of which have gold and silver values in outcrop. Anne Thompson of PetraScience Consulting of Vancouver provides alteration mineral analysis and consulting services to the Company.
